Get the Look: Taylor Swift at the Billboard Music Awards

Nobody had a better Sunday than Taylor Swift. It all began with her and her all-star Bad Blood squad on the red carpet (which made all of us wish we were a part of it) and as soon as the awards began, we witnessed the incredible music video. After watching the video, the historic night began. She won eight Billboard Awards through out the night, including Top Artist, Top Streaming Song, and Top Billboard 200 Artist, making her the top winning Billboard artist of all time with a total of 20 wins.

Swift looked absolutely gorgeous in a Balmain SS15 cutout jumpsuit, but unfortunately it isn’t available online and even if it was, it would be a bit out of my price range. She paired the jumpsuit with Brian Atwood ‘Tribeca’ platforms and a custom-made Edie Parker clutch that said “Bad Blood” on the side. Taylor finished off the look with a smoky cat-eye, nude lip, and textured bob.

If you loved her winning look, here’s how you can get it for less:

The Oscars: Best Dressed

Last night we celebrated the 87th annual Academy Awards. As we sat, glued to our couches (a slice of pizza in one hand, and our phone in the other, vigorously live tweeting the show) we made sure to keep an eye on not only who snagged the nights greatest awards but the looks of our favorite stars as well. Oscar night is always one of the best when it comes to red carpet fashion, and once again, we were not disappointed. Here’s our picks for this year’s Oscars best dressed. Be sure to comment who you thought looked best!

Lots of love,
Angela and Marely

Emma Stone was radiant in this beaded, Elie Saab gown. The open back and high slit kept the dress edgy while the matching shoes and bold red lip completed this look flawlessly.

Jennifer Lopez looked like an absolute princess in this Elie Saab couture gown. The stunning nude toned gown had a plunging neckline and waist-cinching belt that was just right for Jennifer’s signature style.

Suki Waterhouse sadly missed the red carpet, but did attend the show and Vanity Fair after party with boyfriend, Bradley Cooper, where we thankfully got photos of her in this stunning red Burberry dress.

Margot Robbie in Saint Laurent was my favorite look of the night. She looked like a complete movie star in this gorgeous gown and the short hair, bold red lip, and Van Cleef & Arpels jewelry were the perfect final touches.

Zendaya is one of the stars I look forward to most when watching the red carpet because she is always surprising us with daring new looks. The white satin Vivienne Westwood gown was totally chic and the accessories completed this awing ensemble.

Behati Prinsloo stole the spotlight in Armani Privé. The bustier and full length skirt adorned with red and black beading fit her to perfection. The black beaded necklace, earrings, simple clutch, slicked back hair, and bold red lip made this look absolutely show stopping.

Rosamund Pike although not taking home an Oscar, in this custom, lace Givenchy Haute couture gown, she still looked like an absolute winner. Typically, matching shoes to a dress can be a bit of a risk, but she pulled it off seamlessly.

Grammy Awards: Best Dressed

Last night we watched the 57th annual Grammy Awards, celebrating some of the best in music. Besides the incredible performances by Sam Smith, Beyoncé, Kanye West (and countless more), we were blown away by the red carpet fashion. Here’s who we thought dressed to win! Let us know who you thought hit the mark or who totally missed it.

Taylor Swift in this gorgeous teal Elie Saab dress left us absolutely speechless. The fuchsia Giuseppe Zanotti heels were the perfect added pop of color and the jewellery by Lorraine Schwartz and Ofirapave completed the look flawlessly. The high-low style gave the glamorous dress an edgy, high-fashion touch.

Miley Cyrus never fails to shock us, especially when it comes to the red carpet or award shows (RIP MTV’s 2014 VMA performance). Wearing a sensational long, black cutout Alexandre Vauthier gown from the Spring/Summer Haute Couture Collection, she sure managed to blow us away once again. The back of the gown featured an open back with delicate strings. The dauntless singer finished off her look with a red mani, natural makeup, and her signature slicked back pixie hair. Miley had no problems strutting this gown with confidence and, even though she didn’t win a grammy, she sure won the red carpet.

Zendaya continues to prove why she’s one to watch on the red carpet. The 18 year old wowed in a striped, high-slit Vivienne Westwood gown. Not only was her gown absolutely stunning, but her brown leather stilettos, pixie hair, bold brows, dark lip, and edgy ear cuff completed the look and showed us all why we adore her style so much. We absolutely loved this ensemble, head-to-toe, and can’t wait to see what other red carpet looks this trendsetter has in store.

Haim, nominated for Best New Artist, kept their california pop indie style and infused it with a snagging red carpet win. Este Haim rocked a black fringe Chloé gown finished with vibrant red lips, Danielle shocked everyone with a white Stella McCartney suit paired with nude pointed-toe heels, and Alana wore a Stella McCartney black cutout topped with a thick silver necklace. They complimented their looks with loose, tousled waves that still kept their pop-rock band image. They finished off their looks with natural makeup and of course, each other by their side.

SAG Awards: Best Dressed

Last night we watched the 21st Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, but our favorite moments happened on the star studded red carpet before the action packed night of emotional acceptance speeches and Naomi Watts almost face-planting the stage began. Here’s our four favorite looks from this year’s SAG Awards. Be sure to let us know what you thought last night’s top fashion moments were!

Emma Stone absolutely stunned on the red carpet in this Dior Couture gown. Her tuxedo-inspired dress with the silk chiffon sheer skirt was totally high fashion and another perfect example of bold fashion statements always working in her favor. The black heels, red lips, and pulled back hair completed the look flawlessly.

Sarah Hyland dazzled in this gorgeous, custom Vera Wang gown (which she helped design). It’s bejewelled, plunging neckline and layered black tulle skirt kept the look fun and completely age appropriate. She accessorized with Lorraine Schwartz jewels and a simple updo that perfectly pulled the look all together.

Felicity Jones most likely had a difficult time raising her arms but either way, she looked absolutely ravishing in this crisscross off-the-shoulder pale pink Balenciaga gown. A similar design was seen also on Emilia Clarke but let’s face it, Jones wore it better. She kept her show-stopping look simple with minimal makeup, a slicked-back knotted bun, and Van Cleef & Arpels earrings.

Lupita Nyong’o walked the red carpet wearing a vibrant striped Elie Saab dress that made her look absolutely exquisite. The long sleeves instantly turned a more traditional gown into one not so traditional at all. The plunging neckline, running stripes, and multicolored patterns turned Lupita into a winner already. Finished off with a braided updo and bold red lips, Lupita radiated elegance.

Golden Globes: Best Dressed

Last night we recognized the best in film and television during the 72nd annual Golden Globe awards. As we witnessed the triumph of many winners, we also recognized stars who were dressed to perfection (and those who weren’t). The red carpet holds some of the greatest moments in fashion history so pour yourself a glass of champagne and get ready for this years review on the best Golden Globes style. Don’t forget to let us know your picks for best/worst!

Emma Stone wore a bedazzled Lanvin jumpsuit that carried us all away with the extravagant bow and cape feature, beautifully crafted rhinestones, and finishing it off with soft tousled hair. Taking the daring move of wearing a jumpsuit opposed to an extravagant dress, she still looked captivating.

Amal Clooney wore a one-shoulder jaw dropping Dior dress paired with white gloves (gloves that everyone wished they wore to the Golden Globes). She also wore a “Je suis Charlie” pin on her clutch to show honor in the following attack of the publication’s office. An overall classic, timeless look that made her instantly stand out.

Jennifer Lopez, only she could pull off this Zuhair Murad dress. Jennifer managed to look like an absolute goddess in this gown. The phrase “she wore the dress, the dress didn’t wear her” describes this look perfectly. Is there more to say?

Kate Hudson, looking glamorous as usual, managed to make all heads turn with this white Versace gown. From the gorgeous sparkling detail over the cutouts (which showed off her incredible curves) to the plunging neckline, she absolutely owned the red carpet with her style and confidence.

Allison Williams had one of this year’s most wowing moments in a handmade, strapless, scarlet red Armani Privé gown. The classic silhouette was instantly transformed with tiers of beautiful crystal beading while her Old Hollywood glam hairstyle and smoky eye served as the perfect infusion of vintage and modern.
